Putting the adventure in my Engagement Adventure Sessions…

I’ll do just about anything it takes to make the image in my mind come to life in a photograph.

Get up at 6am. Drive 90 miles during the morning commute. Eat breakfast from a gas station. All mild compared to the enthusiastic way I climbed a rusty ladder up the inside of an old silo and perched myself into a glassless window…here is a fun picture that Matt took of me - pretty much clinging to the wall for dear life. I’ve never been one to be afraid of heights or small spaces but I’ll admit sitting up there made my stomach do flip flops and even looking at the pictures I took from that spot takes me back to that feeling…I will post highlights from their amazing engagement adventure session this weekend but for now here I am:

Also I’m putting the final touches on the slideshow of Tom and Erin which will be posted to the blog later tonight…

Just Married: Tom and Erin

I knew from their engagement adventure session that Tom and Erin were going to be a lot of fun to work with and their wedding at The Grand Willow Inn in Mt. Vernon was one of my all time favorites.

I don’t typically start blog posts with cake pictures, however, it was the first thing I saw when I arrived at the wedding and naturally I was drawn to the wonderfully blue accent ribbon shown here:

I love shooting down on cakes - in this case I lucked out as it was tucked near a staircase which made for a fun wedding cake image:

Tom:

I think these are the coolest ties I’ve ever seen - all the guys had them and they were a really nice touch:

The whole family:

Fun and funky colors:

The formal portrait I’ve picked to show off from this wedding is Tom with his son (who just happened to be the most enthusiastic best man I’ve ever met!)

Kids being kids…

More fun people pictures:

Be sure to come back to the blog on Thursday to see more pictures from Tom and Erin’s wedding in their wedding slideshow.

Super Sneak Peak: Tom and Erin

I will be posting a full recap of this amazing wedding later tonight but here is one image to hold you over until then:

First Anniversary: Scott and Amber

Scott and Amber were married on a hot rainy day last summer at Genesis Farm in Enummclaw. It seems like a lifetime ago that I photographed this wedding - the last with my mother - and as I resized the images from their wedding album desin to post here tonight I couldn’t help but reflect on how fast a year can fly by and how much can change in the process.
